During college she did hair here and there but after two years of college, her heart geared towards being a hair stylist more and more, so she attended and graduated hair school at TN Academy of Cosmetology.
Soon after she started working at Bethany's Hair Salon where she styled hair for about two years. She decided to leave there and ended up at The Place To Be Beauty and Barber Salon, she styled hair there for about eleven years.

Monica Miller, mother of two (Timothy 21 and Jayla 16) had a fond interest in being a hair stylist every since she was a child, braiding kids' hair in the neighborhood.
She graduated from Treadwell High School and then enrolled in college at Memphis State (The University of Memphis).
The owner of that salon decided to close and during that time one of her coworkers there decided to venture off and get his own salon, so she followed him to become his salon manager! She's styling there presently which is "Hair Kingdom" and has been there ever since, getting prepared to celebrate their fourth year anniversary.
Monica has been doing hair for over twenty years and licensed over fifteen, loving her career and making people look and feel fabulous with beautiful and healthy hair. She specializes in short hair and long hair, creating updos and various styles that can be worn everyday and anywhere. In addition to that, she does coloring, cuts, and extensions(weaves). She's a platform stylist for Vviolet Hair Products Company. She's also done theater hair for stage plays, styled hair for weddings, proms, fashion shows and special events.
Monica had been a part of the cast for the three seasons of a local reality show "For The Love of Hair" and is now currently part of the cast for two seasons now of local reality show "The Real Hairstylists of Memphis."
